Alabama Secretary of State said candidate can also ask for recount, but would have to pay for it.

 

I was just thinking he's probably counting on lots of $$$$ rolling in from the party to help fund that effort. I suspect he'll be highly disappointed.

 

I've always wondered how you actually do that when ballots are already printed and voting machines programmed, etc.

I mean, there has to be a point in time of no return.

And telling everyone of a certain party to write in a particular candidate - I hate to put down the whole population, but I'd think the public almost anywhere of either party doesn't have enough smart people to pull off a write in and defeat the other party opponent that's actually printed on the ballot.

But, I'm with you in principle, especially if both parties had agreed to do it in 2016.
