It might be short-lived, but it’s pretty satisfying to wind up and give give a full, forceful swift kick in the nuts to Trump and Bannon.

Nobody knows what’s ahead. But Dems should clink a glass, if just for a night.

If this election leads to the end of Bannon's 15 minutes, that would be great.

Jones' position on abortion boiled down to two things - he supports a woman's right to choose, which is standard Dem boilerplate, and he supports abortion up to twenty weeks, which is the letter of current Alabama law. Moore's wife came up with "Jones supports late term abortion", which is meaningless but sounds bad, and they hung that on Jones every chance they could.

I'm sure she discussed it with her Jewish lawyer.

UN poverty official touring Alabama's Black Belt: 'I haven't seen this' in the First World

"I think it's very uncommon in the First World. This is not a sight that one normally sees. I'd have to say that I haven't seen this," Philip Alston, the UN's Special Rapporteur on extreme poverty and human rights, said as he toured a Butler County community where raw sewage flows from homes through exposed PVC pipes and into open trenches and pits."

    Everybody wins.

Democrats get a little closer to blocking in the Senate.

Republicans get a little closer to NOT losing 11 seats in 2018.

It will be interesting to see what unfolds on the GOP side. Everyone kind of got in line behind Trump the last few months - figure this will heighten tensions and each side of the party blaming the other. Not sure if this will mean there won't be many Trump sightings on the campaign trail next year or what.

1.3m voted for Trump in Alabama, Moore finished with less than half that. Clinton received 729k votes, Jones 673k. Given the national attention, it's hard not to think many Bamans just voted by staying home.
