Just digging this back up because it's so f'ing amazing.

A president who'd all but call a senator a whore is unfit to clean toilets in Obama's presidential library or to shine George W. Bush's shoes: Our view

Will Trump's lows ever hit rock bottom?

    Tarheel-
There are conditions for impeachment, not resignation.
Any office-holder - maybe especially a president - should resign when it's in the best interests of the state.
The guy isn't qualified, plain and simple, and he's apparently incapable of learning on the job. We're all wasting our time with this clown show, him not the least.

As I said yesterday, when I voted at around three o'clock, the poll worker at my precinct said that they were at about a 30% turnout with three hours yet to go. The Al. Secretary of State had predicted 25%. The state NAACP organized a very comprehensive GOTV plan, far superior to anything during the 2016 election. There was a lot of distaste with regard to Moore's racial views as well as his treatment of women. Black women were a huge vote for Jones.

  4. As we celebrate, please remember that a lot of lifelong southern Republicans voted for a liberal Democrat or a write in today, because it was the right thing to do. They didn't vote for a party, they voted for a good man, @GDouglasJones. Alabama and America both have a bright future.

They voted for a guy who would be at home in Eisenhower's Republican Party. Congratulations Alabama - here's a gold star on your forehead for not being complete fuckheads for once.
It would never happen in Iowa because diseased candidates like Moore don't get nominated in Iowa.

To make things worse for them, the R's are pushing to implement the new tax laws in 2018. No transition, no telling businesses and individuals what is coming so that they can make changes and adapt... and no idea what unnoticed details are going to jump up and bite them in the ass. With a little luck they'll manage to make this abortion of a tax bill an issue in the 2018 elections as well.

Oh, it's an issue for sure. The Republicans screwed you over to give millionaires a big tax cut. It reinforces every negative stereotype the low information voter has about Republicans.

The GOP reached a tentative agreement by extending even more tax cuts to the rich in order to satisfy the various constituencies involved. Great idea!

He didn't win. That is a victory for the country as a whole and for Alabama in particular.

I absolutely give full credit to any number of Republicans who either voted their conscience or simply refused to vote for Moore, whether by write-in or simply staying home.

Sure, it's an issue anyhow... but if the new tax laws are already biting the voters before the '18 elections, it is no longer an academic talking point.

Not even one of those pyrrhic victories we read about so often in gamers?

Have you ever seen him cross his arms? He's doing his best Ed Sullivan impression back there.
