I’ll go by what the New York Times says regarding the tax cut over the source you cited every time. You also conveniently ignore the fact that the individual mandate on insurance is being revoked, which will raise the cost of insurance for millions who are already struggling to pay it. Yeah what a great tax plan.

Diagramming the sentence probably looks something like this.

What about the rising cost of Obamacare and the people struggling to pay for it? Why don't you care about them?

The last one is a rhetorical question.

I do. The Republicans sure don’t.

Good point. The way to maximize results for the most number of people is to raise taxes to pay for universal health care. Then everybody wins.

I'd be happy to see them raise your taxes to 100%. You know, for the cause.

Why do people think this is some kind of amazing point? I know that the reason is stupidity, but still.

Health insurance costs were rising even before the ACA and insurance companies could deny you coverage for what they said were preexisting conditions back then.

I mean, it’s true. The brunt of paying for those people with preexisting conditions is falling on the middle class, which was always quite predictable with the ACA. It was a middle-class tax hike paid directly to insurance companies.

It’s better than letting people go bankrupt and die while jacking off to some shitty poster of a flag and eagle with “FREEDOM” in serif font, but it’s not great legislation.

Definitely. The Ayn Rand-types on this board and elsewhere would say too bad. Can’t afford it? Die. #bootstraps
