Oh, trust me. I'm thinking that, too. Just because I found some perspective doesn't mean the game didn't make me angry or frustrated.

I just found myself doing something I rarely do yesterday. Normally, I yell during the game. I post stuff here. I let out my emotional responses to the game, then when it's over, I'm done. I still talk about it, but the anger fades. Yesterday, I was having trouble shaking it off at first, which is why I needed to put things in perspective. Sports doesn't mean much without passion. It doesn't mean much if you don't truly care about the outcome. But if you end up carrying too much of that with you once the contest is over, that's not good.

I wouldn't go that far, but thank you for posting that. You are as well.

So one of my sons spent five days in critical condition at a regional children's hospital. Just recently released.
    Thankful he's alright.

I told him he was very bad for getting sick and Santa would not bring him any presents.
He cried like a 2 year old.
On account of he's a 2 year old.

    Remember my mantra:
Unfair expectations and emotional distance - these are the hallmarks of good fatherhood.
