Sure. But to point me out — and get a “like” from Inky out of it — for cheerleading for political judges? That’s a laugh.

Judicial appointments are a political process. Senators have a lot of influence on who gets nominated for courts in their district. So, if a clunker gets nominated by Trump, I’m not going to weep about it.

We should do better. And, overall, I’m sure I’ll like Trump’s picks over who Clinton would have picked, in part, because they will be less political in their ideology on whole.

That’s so bad, it’s worth $200 to Planned Parenthood.

To be fair, you were pretty focused on his presidency of the nonexistent Facism Forever club during his high school years.

    I can’t believe that didn’t disqualify him.

I'll pay attention to appointments, of course. But I'm not going to go home and spend a ton of time dissecting most cases these days. A lot gets past me. The cake case is interesting, though.

Sadly, he has been effective in many ways, most of which have been achieved by executive order. But effective does not always equal good.

"Cutting regulations" includes, for example, several actions that threaten the environment.

"Confirming federal judges" is nothing for which Trump specifically deserves credit. This has occurred because his party is in control of the Senate and because Harry Reid killed the tradition of a 60-vote threshold for judicial confirmations. Any sentient being who turns his nomination process over to the Heritage Foundation would have the same results. In fact, Trump had been an embarrassment on this, having allowed his cronies to nominate people unanimously deemed unqualified to get to the Senate judiciary committee.

"Tax reform" is nothing more than a way to starve the government of so much money that Trumpists now claim there isn't enough money to fund insurance for poor kids. And this, we are told, is the party of family values and concern.

If anybody thinks corporations will take their tax savings and invest them in American jobs, they are dreaming. Corporate profit is already at record levels. You'd think they'd have already taken this opportunity.

Four of his cronies have already been indicted. More are on the way unless he kills the probe.

He admitted to firing the FBI director for pursuing the Russia probe.

He said some members of a throng of Klansmen, neo Nazis and others who adore him were "very fine people."

Everybody wants political judges today. Both sides. We all want people who will vote to make our political ends come to reality. And everybody should admit it. You're right.

He's working on it. He is poking the nuclear bear with a fellow traveler in the mental instability club.

    Dick, aren’t most judges political?

I'm not sure what that means. Most cases that come before most judges are not the 0.1 percent of cases that people who watch FOX and MSNBC get in a lather about. Other than maybe some criminal appeals, I would be hard pressed to tell you in any given case I've ever worked on how partisan politics plays into them. I wouldn't even know what side I was on.
