Admittedly have not looked closely at the Hezbollah "appeasement", but we were not viewed as the laughingstock of the world then and more importantly Obama made the decision without having to be directed by Putin.

Avowed enemy of the US? Okay, but abdicating and then colluding with Russia? Much worse IMHO.

Perhaps rushing the bill through the senate before all of the people voting on it could even get a proper read played a role? Nah. Blame the media!

 

So if you don't know what's in the bill, you lie about it -- repeatedly?

How is it that certain reporters/outlets were able to ascertain the facts if they were, as you suggest, so elusive?

 

Ted Cruz's post boasting about the tax bill came up on my Facebook feed because a hard-conservative friend commented on it, and for the first time she was railing at Cruz instead of cheering for him. A lot of other Cruz fans were doing the same. So it's great to see a conservative backlash already under way, now that they've realized they're getting screwed, too. Sad!

 

Just got around to the NYT, UFOs, Harry Reid story. Did I read it correctly that there are alloys nobody can identify that have been discovered by the Pentagon?

The blame for anybody not knowing what is actually in the bill absolutely starts with the Republicans who shoved it through and you should know that. To dismiss that and focus on blaming the media just reinforces your well-deserved rep as somebody with party blinders on.

 

Kind of like death panels? How did so many people believe something that stupid?

 

Haven't read it in many years, but at the time, I found this compelling on ANWR.
