Here is the stats page on Cuba, It is beyond me to understand it all. You may be right about the total pregnancy thing. I welcome anyone to look at it and interpret, I also can't vouch for the site.

Right. I don't think Icelanders are evil, it's just a natural consequence of viewing a fetus as a non-life. While the higher levels of religion, and the ambivalence in the public about abortion generally mean that the numbers in the US would not likely ever come close to that, I would expect Western Europe to be not far behind, and for the US number to get pretty high too. The NY Post had an article about this phenomenon years ago.

Should they? Maybe, but the answer to them not is not to abort. We don't kill poor people even though it would eliminate poverty.

We don't kill people with down's syndrome, either.

A large portion of Iceland's population believes in invisible fairies and fights for their rights/safety. Not judging -- just sharing

If Bernie's numbers are accurate, the financial returns on open bribery are staggering.

    Speaking of believing in fairies.

Yup. As the parent of a young man with Down syndrome, I understand the additional resources required in terms of finances, expertise and time to care for this part of the population. I also know it’s been and continues to be a considerable struggle (and we have considerably more wherewithal than probably 99 percent of parents) to get the appropriate support and services. I have no idea how poor or less-educated people manage at a time when social services are being gleefully cut by the same assholes who would outlaw aborting fetuses that have trisomy 21.

You don't think other Down syndrome children should even get the chance?

Children? I think it is the private choice of the parents, given their individual circumstances, whether to abort any fetus, Down syndrome or otherwise.

Shoddy deflection. You should abort that post.
