    Race for the Virginia House is now a tie because of this ballot.

    I can see the confusion. I would assume he or she accidentally filled in the D bubble, crossed it out, and filled in the R, given the rest of his or her votes. But you'd be guessing at the intention.

    I guess I'm confused. Was this counted as a D vote? It should be just be tossed.

    It was originally counted as no vote for that race, but a judge today ruled it was an R vote, turning a 1-vote D victory into a tie.

    I'm not a ballot law expert, but I think they were probably right.

    Oh for fuck's sake. A minimum wage law is for all workers. It's an apples and snow tires comparison.
