If life now begins at conception, kids should be able to buy booze at 20 years and three months. And 14-year-olds are now fair game for Roy Moore.

Which has nothing whatsoever to do with state support of religious instruction, which what a $10K tax deduction for private school tuition is at its core.

Can I use a Pell Grant or federally guaranteed student loan for a Catholic college?

No, it's not. There are many expenses that are religiously neutral that can receive funding constitutionally. This is a step and a half removed from that.

You're on quite the logical roll.

Nice to see that Trump has dropped all pretense of discerning between legal and illegal immigrants and has moved on to the simpler “FOREIGNERS BAD!”

Isn't the $10K "deduction" the max amount that you can remove from your 529 to pay for private school tuition?

A pause here for a story of real world governance. My son is a contract employee for the city of Boston working on its user interfaces for its Website. His task today was to compose and send an email to all registered dog owners reminding them to renew licenses for 2018. Dept. of Animal Control sent him a list of said owners along with the names of their dogs. On lunch break, he posted a couple of the more unusual dog names on Twitter without of course identifying their owners in any way. An hour later, he received a five-day suspension without pay for violating city data privacy guidelines. Boston. Our new m0tto: Your dog's secret idenity is safe with us.
