    Holding myself to these:

    • No profanity around the house. I pledged this one to Whitman Jr., who dropped an f-bomb yesterday while playing "Minecraft" in front of two moms at a college football viewing party. We are in this together.
    • Qualify for the Boston Marathon.
    • No SJ.com pissing matches!
    Yours?

Resolutions are stupid :), but it would not hurt me to work on the first and last of yours.

Trying out a (mostly) dry January .... not necessarily a resolution. There will be two birthday party exceptions, including a four-day trip to Arizona where there is no chance I'm not having a few drinks, but I plan on being dry for 27 of 31 days of January at least. Wondering how I'll feel afterward. Just need a break.

Other resolutions: Be less cynical (muting all Trump references on my Twitter feed is a start); read one book a month.

To not suffer fools as gladly.

To be a little more cynical and not take as much joy in the little things.

Less clutter. Last year I stopped taking receipts, especially at gas stations, and threw away any receipt I was given that didn't have something that I may have to return.

This year I'm decluttering email boxes and unsubscribing from all the emails that I never read.

The wife and I spent yesterday condensing three boxes of stuff we hadn't touched since we moved a year ago into one box.

I have some giant contractor bags full of receipts from the 90s that I can ship you, @MTM

I tossed a bunch of my own dating back at least that far when we moved a year ago.
