10 to 11 is a shit raise.

 

Last time I got a raise that big (percentage-wise) I had to move 1,500 miles west.

On second thought ... the raise I moved for wasn’t that big (percentage-wise).

 

Shit, I would take $2,000 more a year and say thank you.

I have always thought the employer was the one to go after. That will cure illegal immigration and make a tidy sum in fines.

 

No, a shit raise would be the people who got $1,000 bonuses. That's a raise of $19.23 dollars a week, offer good for this year only.

 

Yeah, I would too, no matter what I said above. It's money in a chunk which be used wherever. It's still a one time gift of money, not a raise, which I would argue is more valuable.

 

A raise is infinitely more valuable than a bonus, because it sets the new baseline for future raises (and bonuses).
