Show me a picture that matches this one.

    That girl looks terrified.

I swear, takes on immigration policy drive me crazier than those on, e.g., the minimum wage.

This is, in not-too-abstract form, where many are:

    1) I'm OK with there being laws restricting entry to the United States.
    2) I'm OK with those laws not being enforced for decades.
    3) I'm outraged that if we were to start enforcing those laws some people who've been here for decades might be shipped out.

What the fuck do people think happens when immigration laws, that have long been all but ignored, begin to be enforced?

Trump was too busy walking through teenage girls' dressing rooms to take that specific picture.

I think a lot of people (maybe? I have no fucking idea what most people think anymore) think that given the absence of enforcement, and given that human beings are on the other side of years of mismanagement, that while there's nothing wrong with immigration laws and their employment, there is something gross about suddenly sending people back to El Salvador after 18 years without the chance for the hundreds of thousands of good families among them to stay.

They’re being given 18 months notice, and, if they have a case for citizenship or permanent residency — like marrying a citizen — they still have time to adjust their residency status.

I believe you not a witch's tit about anything, and yet I somehow trust the Trump administration to be compassionate and even-handed even less.
