Yeah. Seal is a notorious right winger.

The idea that “everybody” knew, except for the most powerful and connected people in the world strains belief.

Certainly an upset. I certainly thought DINO Koster would beat Greitens like a rented mule, but Greitens rode that Trump wave all the way to Jefferson City.

    Let me rewrite this tweet:

"Town-destroying, bajillion-dollar company built on empire of cheap plastic shit throws smallest possible bone to broke employees, thereby ensuring they continue to vote against their longterm interests and go Republican in the next election, guaranteeing awful corporation can continue making massive profits on their backs in regulation- and repercussion-free environment, and perpetuating modern society's endless-seeming cycle of despair."

Now I really have to go to the coffee shop and work! I love the new economy!

Now do Amazon, and the Washington Post owning Jeff Bezos, who is America’s richest person, while his employees are overworked, and on food stamps.

Read this part again very carefully:

"If you are famous, if people think you are famous, if you are anyone at all, other people want to have their picture taken with you — as if the picture proves something. It doesn't. It proves only that you stood still for the fifteen seconds it took for someone to snap a selfie.

When you're famous you get invited places. You don't go there with a hate-on. You stand around and get your picture taken with everybody and anybody — because that's the courteous, gracious thing to do. The minute that anybody famous raises an eyebrow, it ends up on the front page of some magazine or newspaper or website or blog. Someone, somewhere, some member of the 101st Fighting Chairborne, the Screaming Feebles, is going to make an issue of the color of your dress, the ribbon you wore in support of whatever, how you wore your hair, and who you stood next to on the red carpet.

Given the media's love of feuds — it's great clickbait — when you're famous, you learn how to say gracious noncommittal zero-content responses to everything. "Oh my, the Oscars — what a marvelous party!" And if you find yourself standing next to someone who can pull the plug on your next deal, even though you know he's a monster, you hold your tongue — not because you're an enabler, but because any industry is notoriously cruel to whistle-blowers. Politics especially."

It's fucking bizarro world where "company gives $2,000 bonus to employees" is harshly criticized and "company saddled with $500 million tax judgment will lay off 2,000 people" is cheered.
