#TheResistance will overplay its hand here, unfortunately, sensing an opportunity to sink Trump and chasing good money after bad, as per usual. What this is, stripping away the hyperbole, is the latest data point that he has no couth or compassion. You’re the President of the United States, idiot, not Whitey the Bartender.

Let's face it, I would be willing to bet 99 percent of people on this board would, if they had to choose, rather have a family of immigrants from Norway move in next door over a family from Haiti.

That’s a red herring. The point is that the President of the United States should not refer to other nations, nations of human beings, in such casually derogatory terms. That might seem like advocating euphemism, but the language of diplomacy exists for good reason.

He looked soft on DACA earlier this week and caught some blowback, and now this. He might be playing to the pissed off base.

Be careful. Some people might call you stupid for making assertions about their Dear Leader's base.

So the President would prefer we allow Norwegian socialists with no special love of America into the country, but not the Ghanan who will work his ass off with a grand appreciation for our free market system and raise his kids to be proud Americans.

In my neighborhood, we have immigrants from El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, the DR, Spain, Cambodia, China, Thailand, Liberia and probably a few others I am unaware of. Haitians would fit right in. Norwegians? Probably would, too.

I disagree. For one thing, what Norwegian (higher standard of living, longer life span, more economic opportunity) in their right mind would move here? Fun fact, At the end of the 19th and start of the 20th century, Norwegian immigrants to the Midwest faced systematic discrimination from God-fearing Irish, German, etc. immigrants.
