I don’t have a 40-plus-year track record of being a racist, cold-hearted shithead like he does.

It’s smart of Trump to speak favorably of the Norwegians: Soon, they’ll have those F-52s and they’ll be able to attack just about anywhere that gets internet service.

You’re looking for hobgoblin consistency. Sanctity in wordplay. Context matters. Body of work matters.

Say a friend of yours says “I love ya, man.” Is your response to him to say “well, my wife loves me, so is your love, like, the same as that, or different?”

Not every “shithole” reference is the same.

Well. except for the fact that you could make the case that Norwegians, based on their education, and wealth, would be much less likely to be reliant on social services if they were granted residency/citizenship.

Golly gee, mister, we're just drawing the lines naturally, it's not our fault *those people* (wink wink) tend to cluster amongst themselves and dilute the power of their vote:

Why Norwegians aren't likely to settle in the US - CNN

"From 2006-2017, less than 1,000 Norwegians naturalized as US citizens, according to US Department of Homeland Security data. That's an average of 100 Norwegians a year -- less than .000001 percent of Norway's population."

Why not move to the U.S.?

"Norway has a rich economy, generous social welfare programs, a highly-rated (and free) education system, and exemplary gender parity practices, to name a few of the benefits.
And to top it off, the United Nations named Norway the "happiest country in the world" last year. The US came in 14th place.

Norway, a major oil producer, has harnessed its energy earnings into a giant pension fund worth over $1 trillion. The government uses the fund, one of the largest in the world, to divvy out pensions and other government expenses.

Norway also boasts low unemployment, with only 4% of the labor force without a job according to Statistics Norway. Although US unemployment nearly mirrors that, at 4.1%, wages have not grown accordingly with inflation and to counter the cost of living.

And when it comes to health care, Norway has their citizens covered.
The government has a system of universal health care which covers all citizens for free, regardless of their socioeconomic status, country of origin or where they reside."

The education and wealth generated in large part by the high level of social services in Norway.

    That's not the current map.

I agree that a map like that is ridiculous.

But, a map drawn with geographic boundaries, would still cluster democrats in overwhelmingly red districts, because dems do cluster in cities, while leaving republicans as a majority -- but not as overwhelmingly -- in more rural districts, wouldn't they?

You could, if you were a racist who liked making racist arguments based in your racism, sure.

This is sill. It's not about whether Norwegians are looking to move here.

Norway was likely on his mind, not because it's overwhelmingly white, but because FOX & Friends had previewed his upcoming meeting with Norway's Prime Minister.
