I recall Louis-Dreyfus saying at one point last year that she became very disoriented when some of Veep's storylines aligned so closely with real life in this administration.

No wonder he now has a great relationship with North Korea's leader. I wonder if Trump's golf game is as good as the Kim Jongs are reported to have.

 

Oh, that's been apparent for quite some time.

 

Pops didn't go to Elks meetings that I remember. They/we went to the Elks lodge for dinner. And discuss the day's events with like-minded Hagerstonians.

Then drive home drunk.

 

I vaguely remember going to a couple Moose Lodge events with my parents, but I was young enough to be sequestered with the toys and candy. Pretty sure the drunk drive home was involved, though.

 

That's the way it was and we *liked* it!

 

Durbin invited comparisons to past presidents when he said, “I cannot believe in the history of the White House, in that Oval Office, any president has ever spoken the words that I personally heard our president speak yesterday.”

 

My post made me think - I was in grades 7-9ish. My dad was, by most any account today, an alcoholic. He drank. Not fall down drunk, but angry drunk. He never once called a cab, or had mom drive. Yowza
