The closest it's ever been was the Rams in the Rose Bowl in Super Bowl XIV, and the 49ers at Stanford Stadium in Super Bowl XIX. Same metro area, but not same stadium.

Players celebrate a 3 yard run for a 1st down, so the horn fits right in.

Wasn't exactly 17-3 in the first game, was it?

I said I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikings won, but what's happening is stunning.

With an asterisk, of course. The Rams (SB XIV) and 49ers (XIX) played in their hometowns/areas, but not their home stadium.

Just when I thought nothing could be more annoying than "dilly, dilly," Peyton Manning tries to write a country song.

I'm pretty sure Sean Payton just said YGBFKM.

I know we're getting way of ourselves here, but I wonder how the bookies will factor a home-field advantage in a Super Bowl. And whether the Vikings would sleep in their own beds the nights before or be in a hotel somewhere—even leaving the "distractions" of being home, maybe, and preparing somewhere else? It's pretty interesting.

I so want Blake Bortles to Mr. Magoo his way into a Super Bowl title.

About the early game: The Steelers' defensive effort was summed up by the fourth-quarter TD pass to the fullback. Both linebackers completely sold out on the run, and avoiding the fullback's "block." It was like taking candy from a baby.

I swear to God, this was the moment I finally understood what that acronym means.
