The Skol chant is way, way cool. No dog in the hunt, but that was fun. Brought back some painful memories though.

The lousy execution makes it look bad, as does the fact that the Steelers did stop the Jaguars short of a first down. Of course, they could have run a different series of plays if it was deep in their end, but I know that is part of the conversation among Steelers fans.

A buddy of mine who is a Steelers fan had to miss the game today. He got in the car and turned on the radio in time for the final 1:30 or so. He called me as soon as it ended, asking, "What the hell happened?" I thought he was expressing astonishment at the way the game went, but he really didn't know and I'm sure seeing the Jags with all those points on the board seemed damn surprising.

All I can think now is Saints fans have to be even sicker than we are right now. What an awful way to lose.

Did he close his eyes or what? Didn't use his arms, either, which would have wrapped Diggs up.

Guaranteed that Saints safety was worried about getting called for hitting a defenseless receiver on that final play, hence the low whiff.

No, because he has won it so many more times.

Good pinfall, but left a tough spare.

That or, as Aikman suggested, he was afraid of pass interference. It looked like he might have arrived a little early. He has to get himself under control there and make the play.

Well Grossman still sucks quite a bit more than both of those guys, but if anyone wants to ding Brady I won't argue.

My NYC neighbor's TV is ahead of mine and I heard him screaming. I don't think he's a Saints fan or Vikings but I knew something nuts had happened even as Keenum was taking the snap.

Exactly. Remember, if he gets whistled there, the result was going to be essentially the same. Forbath wasn't going to miss from there. So yeah, that was undoubtedly in the front of his mind.

If only Joe Buck had yelled, "Aikman -- touchdown, unbelievable!"

What in sports history compares to the "Williams Whiff?" Merkle's Boner? Chris Webber's timeout? Bill Buckner?
