It ain't 20 below, but it's pretty damn frigid here in the South right now, too. Just sayin'. :)

  2. And U.S. Men's Hockey team is whole bunch of "Who Are Those Guys?"

Bobby Sanguinetti, a onetime first rounder to the Rangers, played his last year of junior with us. Great kid, terrific offensive defenceman, knock on him was he didn't work hard enough to succeed in the NHL. I honestly thought he was out of hockey.

Fun listening to VSiN most mornings after Golden Knights games. The sports book directors all love having hockey in Vegas, being that it attracts money on a sport that usually doesn't draw much action, yet they're also getting their teeth kicked in with the team winning and winning, especially at home.

Ducks at Kings: 3 fights the first 2-1/2 minutes. Not six guys squaring off at the same time. Three separate fights. Boll-McDermid, Bieksa-Andreoff, Ritchie-Clifford.

Bullshit cheap shot by Ritchie after he had knocked Clifford down

McDermid has been running Kase all night — all season. Somebody gotta pay.

Watched the video. First one was OK. Second one would have been cheap but it didn’t land.

Andrew Cogliano's Iron Man streak will apparently end on Monday afternoon in Colorado because of a two-game suspension handed down by the NHL on Sunday. Obviously, Ducks fans are livid over this decision.
Regardless of the streak, if Cogliano was in violation, he should be punished. He was given a justifiable interference penalty that was called. However, after looking at all of the video available to me, I cannot see how this suspension was decided upon.
The person on the NHL player safety video said Cogliano went to the head of Kempe. That is not what I saw.
Cogliano is listed at 5-foot-10; Kempe 6-foot-2. Kempe was standing almost straight up when this collision occurred. Cogliano was bent over. Cogliano was probably 6 or so inches shorter than Kempe at the time of the collision. I saw Cogliano's shoulder and elbow strike Kempe in the chest, NOT the head. There was no stick involvement. Kempe's head jerked backward, probably as a reflex from the collision or to embellish the collision. Cogliano's elbow fell well short of Kempe's neck.
Without comparing this hit to others in the same game which went unpunished, or others earlier in the season that were not punished, I would like Huggy and JC, and anybody else, to weigh in on what they saw and whether they think a suspension is warranted.

Cogliano suspended, consecutive games played streak to end at 830

I’m sorry, buddy. Iron man streak or no iron man streak, I have a hard time imagining fans being obviously livid about Andrew Cogliano being suspended for two games.
