Agreed. And it's not just because it leads to missed tackles. What Williams did is exactly how Ryan Shazier ended up paralyzed, at least temporarily (still hoping he walks again). Shazier had been doing it for years before the spinal injury this season. Keep that head up and see what you hit or it can lead to a lot worse than a missed tackle.

Sacrifice bunt. Catcher fires it over the first baseman's head. Batter heads to second. Right fielder tracks it down and makes a wild throw. Batter heads to third. Shortstop or left fielder track it down and make a wild throw to third. Batter scores.

    Happens all the time.

I watched a lot of replays after the game, but did anyone see Payton's reaction on the Saints' sideline? I never saw one of him, but figured it had to again be of the YGBFKM variety.

Byner won a Super Bowl four years later with the Redskins. Let's hope Williams gets that opportunity one day.

Having seen the replay about a dozen times, I think I understand the defender a little better. He's afraid he's going to hit Diggs early, thereby giving the Vikings the ball at the Saints 34, stopping the clock and facilitating a feasible, 51-yard field goal at the gun. Perhaps he's hoping one of his teammates will be in position to make the tackle. But in peeling off, he takes out one of those teammates.
At any rate, I hope he has someplace to go where he can avoid the angry mob.

If you call that in the neutral zone, and technically it is, you'd never get a play off because someone lines up there every time.

So I went to see "Darkest Hour" tonight. Did I miss anything?

Ironically, that is also the title of the Saints' highlight film for this week.
