The reaction in this weekend’s temporary Casa Circus. As I noted in a PM to QYFW, my in-laws had their 35th anniversary today and renewed their vows starting around 4:30. Festivities started during the beginning of the Vikings game, with me filming, and also bled into the UVA-NC State game. I feel like I earned this, karma-wise.

Was there not a golf tournament you could watch? You could have watched for a rule infraction.

 

Fucking hell, that's amazing.

 

To his credit, Marcus Williams seems to be owning up to his mistake and didn't duck the media or anything like that. He had an interception in this game and was pretty good for them this year. I sincerely hope this doesn't wind up defining him or ruining his career.

 

Remember, no matter what happens from here on out, UCF is your National Champion.

 

This is a minor point, but now that I've watched the replay 374 times so that the pain of missing it live sinks in nice and deep, I couldn't help notice that Diggs runs into the end zone and just kind of flips the ball away, and it then disappears in the madness.

I don't want to overstate things, but I imagine that ball would have had some value as a piece of sports memorabilia.

 

That argument drives me nuts. The guy was in the neutral zone. It should have been called and the refs blew it.

 

I feel terrible that I laughed at that, even though I know who said it.

 

Can't even do that any more. Changed the rule after that Lexi Thompson delayed penalty last year.
