There have been tons of postseason OT touchdowns, as has been pointed out. This one was fourth quarter game-ender.

Larry Fitzgerald had one against the Packers a few years ago too FWIW. But there are probably dozens in all.

That is one angry hometown columnist. Lot of good stuff in there.
As an aside, is "Joe Starkey" what you get merge the Beatles' drummer and the front man for the Clash?

Ha. Not exactly.I actually thought it was a reasonable take. I can't remember if Joe is actually from Pittsburgh, but he has worked in the local media there for over 20 years.

    I agree. Angry and reasonable.

It's funny. Ghost to the Post didn't end the game. It wasn't even a touchdown. It was a 42-yard completion to set up the tying field goal in regulation. Doesn't even really look all that spectacular in light of some of the stuff receivers do today.

Fittingly, Casper DID catch the walkoff pass, a 10-yard TD 43 seconds into the second OT.

Agreed. The guy jumped. The movement should have been enough to ensure the official caught it.

The first playoff walk off TD was Alan Ameche's one-yard run in the 1958 NFL title game, the first ever overtime game, in what used to be called The Greatest Game Ever Played, but isn't anymore.

It sucked because work turned out to be a option and there wasn't much good football on.
