That's fine, that's an argument based on emotion. The league should never take into account a streak, either it's worthy of a suspension or it's not.

It's a head shot and incredibly late, the only argument is he's a good guy and he has a streak.

Hate to interrupt this threadjack pissing match to ask a really dumb question that I know I can Google, but what is with the bye week? Has this always been a thing?

 

And, that's the way Ripken's streak should have been handled.

Any other player's wife gets it on with Costner, the game goes on instead of some strange, quickly unrepairable power and light outages.

It's all a sham. Streaks for playing time suck. Notable, but suck and can be detrimental to the team for a LONG time.

Now performance streaks like DiMaggio and Rose. Those are worthy unless pitches are being tipped. Then those would be a total shamrockery too.
