These possible returns for McCutchen all see quite underwhelming. Of course, it's primarily about dumping salary, anyway. I think most general managers in baseball realize that all you have to do with the Pirates is wait and the price in talent will come way down as they get more and more desperate to unload yet another contract.

 

Pittsburgh now would be the perfect place for the Yankees to unload Jacoby Ellsbury, while picking up half his salary.

To get Longoria and McCutchen this offseason without losing Panik and while also dumping Span is incredible.
