Big 12 tougher on Texas Tech than West Virginia player after court-storming incident

I don't blame the students. I don't blame the WVU player. I blame whatever administrator thought up that security plan and the seating arrangement that makes it impossible for a visiting team to leave the court without cross-traffic. How tough is it to get 10 people with a rope to establish a corridor? Have Students sit as far away from the visiting locker room/exit tunnel as possible. Not rocket science.
If conferences really wanted to punish the schools though - they would handle the post-game security themselves, pay a dozen cops OT or whatever and bill the university for the rest of the year. They will learn quickly. As it is now, boosters will kick in $25k for an upset like that. They won't want to pay the bills for expanded security at every game.

Is it too early to mark them down for a 15 over 2 upset?

3 minutes into the game against Wisconsin, Purdue is up 12 nothing.

    23-4.

Badgers might not score 35 tonight.

For leaving? How many of them would have turned down a multi-million $ raise (over length of contract) to stay in the A-10?

They've been doing it that way for 30+ years, except this guy wasn't blonde.

Clemson has made 13 straight shots and still trails by five in Chapel Hill.

Leaving so quickly and never really connecting with the fan base the way Shaka did. They were spoiled by him. Will didn't have the same engaging personality.

In retrospect, Will absolutely made the right call, because his stock was going to drop this year. This particular VCU team is a defensive train wreck. Gave up 66 in a half to Dayton the other night. They'll get better, they're young. But they were taking a step back this year regardless. VCU fans see the program as being on par with schools like Gonzaga and Wichita State, though outside of the Final Four run, the Rams haven't accomplished near what those elite "mid" majors have. Rhoades won't get a long grace period.

Will definitely be Tennessee's biggest win this year (since this year's Kentucky one-and-doners are a level below the usual batch).
