In other words, some lingering sense of wisdom, given what we know about shitty men.

In practice? Or are we just posting things on message boards as an outworking of how enlightened we want to feel today?

I don’t see how this story andvances the #MeToo movement. Probably shouldn’t be published, right?

Well, in part I mean artificial circumstances — it’s only the second date, what will he think of me if I give it up too soon?

Men just don’t have to ponder these issues.

Based on Roe v. Wade's reasoning, I have a difficult time understanding how prostitution can be illegal.

I guess as a public health concern, but that would seem to call for regulation, not abolishment.

I didn't click but I assume it is trump pillow talk. I abhor the Aziz play by play, and this woman's Trump pillow talk. At least Stormy put a name to it.

Well, much like plural marriage, I believe consenting adults should be allowed to make choices.

But, in both cases, we see women who are forced into these situations against their will, and without their consent.

Now, some of the most ardent feminists are against the criminalization of prostitution.

But, for societal reasons, I think it’s probably correct for it to be illegal. If it wasn’t, it would be much harder to prosecute those who coerced women onto prostitution without consent.

Women don't have to ponder it. They probably do much more than men. Again, that's to their credit.

That's terrible reasoning. There is not much space between that and criminalizing pre-marital sex because its existence makes it difficult to prosecute rape.

Roe v. Wade was an emotional impulse. And I don't mean to drag that debate into this one. I have nothing but respect for - and the deepest disagreement with - the Roe v. Wade decision. I consider it a grave decision. I understand how and why they arrived at it.

I’m really just trying to make the point that sexual encounters and decisions are, in practice, more difficult for women.

And, sometimes, the reason a guy receives mixed signals, is because a woman is sending mixed signals.
