    Regarding the public opinion shift from a shutdown, there's something that needs to be understood. If it affects a majority of the American people, it's not evident to them today, or tomorrow, or the middle of next week. They really don't feel it. Hell, I'll go as far as to say I'm not feeling it today. This shutdown, at this point, is leading only to hand-wringing on the part of the pseudo-intellectuals.

    If it affects what they do or how middle America lives on the short-term, then you'll hear some hand-wringing. But not today.
