What are the best movie fight scenes ever?

Tony Jaa is the Bruce Lee of Muay Thai. I've watched this clip from Ong Bak probably a dozen times.

 

In the remastered version, Lucas insisted the guy threw the sword at Indy first, but it just missed, and Indy then shot him, justifying the kill. Thankfully Spielberg cut it.

 

Didn't like the sequel as much -- not really looking for a story in these things -- but the kitchen scene was incredible.

 

The sequel's story was formulaic and checked all the boxes for The Undercover Guy Who Is In Too Deep But Is Now Like Family To The Big Boss and His Son, but the action is freaking undeniable.

 

Probably so. But two guys beating the crap out of each other is cinematic without getting too technical.

 

Wasn't the story that Ford was sick, so they ditched a five-minute sword fight and had him just shoot the swordsman.

 

Mine was a joke in reference to #HanShotOnly

 

For quick and efficient, but fun and pretty brutal, Seagal vs. Tommy Lee Jones in Under Siege was good.

And to hijack slightly, there are about 30 fight scenes from the Banshee TV series that are just amazing. With Nola vs. Burton being probably the most famous.

 

Yeah. It's funnier with the original. It's like Indy watches him do the sword trick, and says to himself, "Fuck this shit, I don't have time for this," and shoots him.

 

Don't bring a sword to a gunfight.
