Someone was hired to spray some perfume on Ferguson's stinkbomb.
MSU trustee Joel Ferguson 'deeply regrets the inadvertent comment' in Larry Nassar case

"Joel Ferguson deeply regrets the inadvertent comment he made on a local radio program that trivialized the experience of the victims of Larry Nassar," a statement sent to the Free Press by his spokeswoman, Kelly Rossman-McKinney, who is not representing MSU or the board. "He recognizes the suffering of these young women and had intended to refer to it as ‘the Nassar tragedy'.

"Mr. Ferguson deeply regrets his comment and apologizes to those he offended."

I'm sure it's worse in sports like gymnastics and probably figure skating that have the once-every-four-years Olympic glory, making the dream that much more elusive. But this whole idea of how much parents put up with to feed their delusions has been shocking to see as my kids have grown up in the youth sports industry. I can't believe how much emotional abuse these club coaches are allowed to dish out, and how much control they have over kids' lives and happiness, in service of a dream that maxes out at a low-level DI or DII scholarship.

I've pulled my kids out of several situations that I felt were not good for their overall well-being, even if they were the right environment for improving in the sport. Other parents, who sat right next to me as we discussed all of the problems we were seeing, kept signing up. It was then that I realized my kids weren't going to be scholarship athletes. (Caveat: They weren't going to be anyway. That series of events just made it easier for me to realize and accept.)

Good luck finding any successful gymnastics training practice anywhere in the world that is/was nurturing.

And the odds of making it is so minuscule, it's really shocking that so many parents are willing to give up everything to chase those dreams.

The judge is reading Nasser's statements from his child porn trial back to him, and shredding his ass right now.
