Even The Wolf likely can't clean up Harvey Weinstein's pending troubles

Looks like that editor has already apologized, and been dropped from some local literary events.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't lose his job in the next day or two.

I actually am trying my best to like @typefitter. He's good conversation and brings a lot to the table here, due to his experience. I just think he should realize that when he wants to call other posters out for being racist or angry or having a DUI, rather than argue merits, that we all have our own sordid histories. We all bring our baggage.

The Tweet read to me like one of those contrarian, controversial thoughts that someone has that seem profound at first, but much less so when they see the cold light of day.

It was one of several in a string. Some of which were decidedly wrongheaded attempts at humor.

The central thought of the tweet we're discussing here, though, reads to me more like "aberrant human sexual behavior will always be with us thanks to bad wiring in the brain," rather than some endorsement of bad cultural practice.

It's also easy to misunderstand the reference to 'great art' too, I suppose. Although Nabokov and Joyce and Shakespeare all make pretty compelling arguments.

Every sentence of the Tweet was probably true. But I think he mis-read the room thinking people were ready for, "On the bright side ..."

Well, that's one way to handle something like this, but in some ways Kovacevic's article is also a bit of a hit piece, too. Perhaps call it a hit-first piece? He definitely takes the Tweets by Coolong and Kaboly out of context. It's tough to judge the situation without actually seeing the Deadspin article.
