The right for women to choose what they wish for decisions physically involving their own body without Big Government interference makes me feel good.

The Born-Alive Infants Protection Act was signed into law in 2002 by President Bush.

    Perhaps today's bill seemed redundant.

Would you like to see more or fewer abortions?

No but if those 1 million abortions ruin your day I am strangely OK with them. You probably would understand, weirdo conservative tears etc...

Fewer. With women continuing to have the right to choose.

The number of abortions has gone down considerably in the last 25 years or so, from a peak of roughly 1.5 million. Teen girls are, I think, the second largest group who have abortions, after women in their 20s. Yet, the teen pregnancy rate and the teen birth rate has fallen by more than half in the last 25 years, and I doubt there are too many out there who are naive enough to think that they're not having sex. They are using birth control more frequently, thanks to increased education and the distribution of birth control in schools.

All of which were opposed by the abstinence-only crowd who want teens girls to be punished for not keeping a pill between their legs.

Your born-alive legislation also ignores the fact that 99 percent of all abortions are done before 20 weeks, when the fetus isn't viable anyways. Like I said, it's useless feel-good legislation that has little to do with reality.

Look at the history behind it. It was designed to prevent businesses from making employees essentially work for free.

No abortions, but Mrs. Whitman and I have sex a lot.
