What's weird is you go back and see the handles and avatars of posters and you go, Jesus, I remember that guy. Whatever happened to him?

This place is like a horror movie. People just vanish all the time. If this were a town, none of us would go outside ever again, because one day people are there and the next day they aren't. Like, 90 percent of your friends just up and disappear. It's like the Web-site version of "Get Out."

Aight, so since I'm a) pathetic b) completely intrigued by the lunacy of Britt McHenry, I listened to her interview with Barstool Monday night. Some highlights:
-- Said she bought 5-10K followers three years ago in following her suspension for the towing incident that started this thread: "I wanted to make it (bigger audience) look like it just wasn’t because of towing, that I was stabilizing." Said the fake accounts fell off three years ago, but I'm pretty sure her follower count significantly dropped after the NYT story.
-- All the deleted tweets referenced a few pages ago (including ones where she denied buying followers) were drunk tweets.
“I think some booze helped with that.”
-- Finally: “I’m not right wing.”

 

Good Lord, has there ever been a pairing more deserving of each other than Barstool Sports and Britt McHenry? She should work for them and never look back.

She went to Northwestern for a year. My j-school has an eight-month master's program and it just kills me when people say they went to school there and avoid mentionining, like McHenry, the podunk undergrad program where they spent four years. (I know that sounds douchey).

 

As a friend of Stetson University, where she played one forgettable season of soccer but did graduate with honors, I guess I'll let the Podunk comment slide....
