    Was going to stay the night but my son had to work the next day. So I went back to Richmond. Came back the next day with the ex and one of her pals. Another rainy day, though nowhere near as bad. Got a text from my son right after Dunn was called out - "That was Ball F-ing Four." Still, cool to see someone get No. 300

    While we were in that pavilion (doing exactly what Stan Kasten wanted when he refused to bang the game earlier), I met the guy who later became my Caps writer when I got the job at The Washington Times.

    Was just reminded of the Nats game I attended with Moddy and Headbutt. It was also my introduction of the sleeveless pug shirt in public. And I left my keys on the Metro on the way there. Typical night.

    Now that you mention it, I have a vague recollection of taking a group photo and sending it to Moddy with a profane message attached. Like ha ha fucker look what you missed!

    I looked up the boxscore for that game. Dustin Pedroia batted ninth for the Red Sox and Chris Ray blew the game for the Orioles in the eighth inning. Long time ago.

    She might have taken the picture, I'm not sure.

    I should mention I saw her at a baseball playoff game in 2016 and she was very polite when asking me for directions. There. Something nice has been said about Britt on this thread.

    I've said it before: The Britt I knew in D.C. was very nice, worked hard, seemed fairly humble. This was before she went to ESPN and became, as some started calling her, "Big Head Britt."

    BYHEB2 (did I do that right), didn't Mike also join us for a game at Camden Yards? Great guy, but I do remember him wearing cargo shorts and having more shit stuffed into his pockets than I had in my apartment.
