Being old enough to remember both the Lewinsky affair and Watergate, a good rule of thumb is the worse things are for the President, the more creative his lawyers become. Got to make the client think you're doing SOMETHING.

 

So the catchphrase in Trump's speech tonight is "New American Moment." By a funny coincidence, the very same phrase was used by one H. Clinton in 2009 in her Secretary of State confirmation hearings. I don't think this is plagiarism, just proof there's a limited number of meaningless catchphrases out there. Also, Trump's speechwriters are too lazy and/or stupid to use Google.

 

No chance they let this buffooon talk to Mueller. Zero. He can’t speak to the press for a couple minutes without lying repeatedly. He would tie himself into knots under Mueller’s inquiry.
