Never heard Joe Kennedy III speak before tonight. A good message. His delivery needs some work.

The “response” slot is usually a disaster no matter the party. Kennedy seemed to do pretty well. Smart choice to have a cheering crowd. That made a huge difference.

Mostly, it was nice to see someone who wasn’t 100 years old speaking for the Dems on a national stage.

Kennedy likely won’t be a player in 2020. But he’ll be a player in the party for a long time.

Odd seeing someone who has the obvious Kennedy DNA without a thick Boston accent.

 

A canned speech by staffers he was able to read. He’ll blow that up by noon tomorrow.
