I missed peak meetup era, I guess, during my post journalism, busy be-a-high-school-teacher era. Damn.

Best I got is being buds with @Mighty_Wingman (who introduced me to the site in '03) and a fun baseball regional weekend that had me meeting former(?) posters @PaseanaARG, @FuerteJ, and another dude whose handle I forget.

And I'm 99.9% sure I definitely worked with a longtime ideosyncratic poster here.

I’d tell the story of IJAG and I drunk in Vegas, but I don’t really remember much of it.

She was just another nameless blonde on ESPN until that parking garage video. I guess you can respect her hustle for recognizing that no publicity is bad publicity if you can properly capitalize on it. The thing is, she hasn't capitalized on it. And her infamy and initial fame are tied inextricably to what a POS she is. I mean, Kim Kardashian became famous bc of a sex tape, yes. But that looks downright quaint compared to the tape that made McHenry famous. Kim can at least beam with a little pride

 

I have no doubt he is.
