Girlfriend and I love chickpeas. Flexible foodstuff, works in a lot of different recipes, and you can roast them in various spices for good snacks.

Hmmm...trying to put together something. Trump, Russian, Chickpeas. Naaah, nothing. You're right.

I'm seriously debating what I'm going to bring to my buddy's party. I make a good chili with ground meat or that beer cheese bread bowl. Chili might yield some good left overs but that bread bowl looks amazing.

Easiest recipe that never fails in these type situations. Whenever I have to bring something to share, it's this.

One bag frozen meatballs (smaller size works best I've found)
Two cans cranberry sauce (jellied or whole berry, or one of each)
4oz chili garlic sauce (your choice, spicy (sriracha) or sweet as you prefer)

Crockpot/slow cooker, stir occasionally, until hot (generally 4-5 hours on low).

What about something simple, like soup?

Newsroom pizza and sausage and peppers. Ordered from an excellent joint.

The problem with soup if you're hosting a Super Bowl party is that people aren't eating at a kitchen or dining room table. They're elsewhere, seated in impromptu fashion and soup is rough on carpeting.

I like soup as much as the next guy. But that was a line from Indiana Jones responding to a post with lines from the same flick (Temple of Doom).

As for real Super snacks, I keep it simple. Pizza and wings.

Pizza is good. I like wings, but they're also kind of messy to be TV room food. Sorry I didn't get the reference.
