And it will still win the regular season in the best conference.

I just heard Carc say the ACC has six teams in the RPI top 20, and no other conference has more than 3.

St. John's--0-11 in the Big East--beat Duke today.

I knew STJ had won. Didn't know their record.

    Anytime Duke loses.... great!

Mizzou with a big victory today against Kentucky. It helps the Tiggers' RPI, as does the victory against Alabama, as they try to get off the NCAA bubble and into the field. Just based on the TV feed, it looked like the crowds used to when Kansas came to town.

I appreciate it, for one reason.

I'm a lacrosse aficionado (or was, I've lost some interest because of 2006 and 2013).

    Anyway, I hate Syracuse.

I visited Cuse once. Snow, grey, gritty, industry.

Anything that makes those people happy given the utter depressing area and weather, ok, I appreciate that.

I feel the same way about UConn, the Patriots, Bristol and the whole Northeast. Depressing. Short summers. Winter. Yankees. Fuck them all, but I appreciate a little success of their teams to keep the suicide rates down.

(I give Maine, Vermont, and most of NH a pass).

    Did SB react?

I haven't watched any basketball this season. Watching USC-UCLA now on ESPN2.
Bill Walton and Dave Pasch are arguing over everything. Walton is playing the grumpy old man, who knows it all. We're learning about everything from carbon emissions to the history of the top 25, from Heisman-college hoop POY combinations (Oklahoma might do it this season), to Walton being the first player in the NBA with a ponytail. He keeps asking Pasch questions and Pasch says, "I don't know, I'm watching the game." Walton pointed out there UCLA is the national leader in fewest carbon emissions based on its carpool program.
They are doing everything but announcing the game.
The half ended with a tip-in that might have not beaten the horn. The refs came to look at the replay and ruled correctly that it was late. Walton says to the refs, "Thank you three for coming here today to help improve our quality of life."

When you hire Bill, you know what you're gonna get. On another topic, I know they'll screw it up somehow, but Virginia sure looks good to me.

Haven't followed too closely this year, but the Big 10 looks down. Michigan tried its best today to give away the game to a Gophers team that had two decent players.

Maybe three Big 10 teams should be in the tourney this year. Of course, they'll get more because POWER FIVE, but outside of Purdue and Michigan State, not much elite 8 or sweet 16 potential in that league.

And then lose to Mizzou in Wichita in the second round.
