I actually think if the US was serious about peace in the Middle East they would keep their thumbs off the scales (for either side). Say "Hey, we'll set you up at Camp David or whatever, supply the pencils and pens or whatever and let you guys figure it out. Other than that - you're on your own." Both parties (Israel and Palestinians) use the US to bolster their support among their ranks, either arguing against it or aligning with it.

That's one thing (among many) I've never been clear about.

What's so sacrosanct about the 4 p.m. thing anyway? Whatever happens, the market will open the next day and business will continue. Losses can be regained, and so on. Or are there a bunch of people coming in at 4:01 and saying, "Margin call, gentlemen!" ?

So you're saying it's treasonous to claim the president is illegitimate? That's an interesting take by you. It's also completely fucking stupid to wonder if a private citizen's thoughts are treasonous.
