Using the military as a crutch is such a cheap ploy. And Trump's base slobbers over it every time.

It's about accountability. Being able to do or say one thing, but then complain when others do or say the same exact thing is a lack of accountability. The same is true for saying actions or words are okay for one group, but not for another. That approach leads to irresponsible and unfair behavior and speech.

The idea that hypocrisy is only an issue for liberals is laughable. The entire whataboutism bullshit that we see all over political discourse here and all over is built on the concept of hypocrisy being a bad thing and you're kidding yourself if you think it is only liberals doing that. Hello, YankeeFan alone engages in enough whataboutism to account for half of SJ.com.

Also, why should only Conservatives believe that there are right and wrong answers and getting it right some of the time is better than a hyper-consistent wrong answer? Also, if something is wrong, it remains wrong. If it is wrong for Democrats to fail to do their jobs or to use filibusters to block crucial legislation, it is wrong for Republicans as well. If gerrymandering is wrong for one side, it is wrong for both.

You're also assuming hypocrites are right some fo the time, which clearly is a questionable assumption at best.

In ancient Greek, 'hypokrites' meant 'actor.'

Here's a good read on the politics of Donald Trump's America: Those wild and crazy dreamers in northern California, who want to form the state of "Jefferson" and secede from the rest of their America-hating state:

    A separatist state of mind

I'm no economist, but the idea of taking a state's 20 poorest counties and finding prosperity as the 51st state seems a long shot to me.

Not all Democrats are liberals. Although that percentage seems to shrink by the day.
