The mileage is what it is. The guy has carried a heavy workload in spite of the injuries and suspensions, especially the last two seasons.

If Brady is going to do that, why trade Jimmy G?

They didn't know Brady was going to do that.

I want a House of Cards, but with Brady and Gisele in the lead roles slowly rising to own the Patriots without spending a dollar.

I'd think that these types of things would be sorted out in advance, especially for an organization which is supposed to be miles ahead of everyone else. You don't trade Jimmy G. unless you know that Brady intends to stay at least one more year. If you have that conversation with Brady, then presumably the issue of Hoodie/McDaniels has to come up. Maybe it was a last minute power play by Brady.

    Correct.

Or maybe Belichick pushed the whole thing by feeding that ESPN story and changing the dynamic forever. Or maybe Gisele got in Tom’s ear a little more, or maybe some injury down the stretch is far worse than we were led to believe, or maybe he just plain changed his mind, or maybe none of this got real until McDaniels took the job.

What happened in Jan/Feb and why they should have anticipated it in October is kind of far-fetched.

Being reported that 40ers have given Garoppolo a five-year, $137.5 million contract. Amount guaranteed not known yet, but the overall figure makes him highest paid player in the NFL. Bet he's sorry he won't be Brady's successor now.

Is Jinmy Garoppolo an elite quarterback?

Given the fact that a QB with a whopping seven starts just got $137.5M over five, I feel safe in saying that we can prepare for the potential mess because Foles in getting his $20 million per in 2019.
