Nah, he's nowhere near as bad. But he sure is a dumb fuck. And a piss-poor representative of America.

Who compared Pence to the North Koreans?

But let's please not forget that the Olympics are a kind of diplomatic theater, propaganda kabuki, in which many players and themes and symbols appear.

"Pence / Warmbier " and "Pence remains seated" among them.

I'd be more forgiving of the media coverage of the Slay Princess if she had done something more than give Mike Pence the side-eye, and shake a few hands.

North Korea is being granted a PR/propaganda victory, and has done very little to earn it.

Even that bit of perspective is sorely lacking in “coverage” from P.F. Chang’s so far.

You do realize that 99.9 perfect of what you know about NK atrocities stems from media reports, right?

Yes. But the national reporters apparently haven’t read any of it. Or are ignoring it for a reason.

The President can determine that certain sections need to be redacted. He can order that the memo not be released within the Executive branch. Separation of powers says that the House Intel Committee can vote to release it, period, no matter what Don McGahn is ordering. Already done, 21-0.

Dummy, we let in foreign heads of state to attend the UN. You know that, right?

We let in Castro, Gaddafi, Ahmadinejad, and Khrushchev too.

Castro used to get feted at dinners, attended by congressman, too.
