The bloody nose isn't happening without some significant provocation.

What's more likely to happen, but probably a few years off, is complete annihilation.

 

The internal logic of the "bloody nose" idea contradicts itself. On the one hand, Kim is an irrational monster who is likely to launch a suicidal attack on the US for no particular reason, so we have to strike his nuclear weapons program. On the other hand, when WE attack the irrational monster, he'll see how limited it is rather than deciding, "hey the balloon has gone up" and striking out with everything he's got.

Here's my problem with that.

The headline of the story is

"Fred Warmbier criticizes North Korean Olympic spirit"

which is exactly what he did. It's a straight news story, with a straight news headline that quotes the subject correctly.

Nothing in the story criticizes Mr. Warmbier for doing so, or second guesses his motives. Nor did the story suggest he keep his mouth shut.

The tweet you posted is outraged by a thing that didn't happen.

 

Fair enough.

 

I won't say this is funny, but it's funny.
