They’re enlightened compared to Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Utah.

Dan, they just had millions of people in the streets peacefully (well, mostly) protesting their government and winding up with the President looking at prison. At one point South Korea was a military dictatorship but that pretty much ended in the '80s.

So snowboarding has judges. If the figure skating judges are like the stuffed shirts in I, Tonya, and they are, then snowboard judges have to be like middle-aged board bum stoner burnouts, right? They're all high as loons when they hand out those scores.

I can relate to almost every sport in some way. I’ve played basketball. I’ve played golf. Now, I also ski. But what those slope style snowboarders do? I absolutely cannot relate to that.

So what is combined in super combined? As they say on Facebook, asking for a friend.

You can relate better to figure skating?

Yes. I can fail at figure skating and not automatically die.

Then you probably can say the same about luge as snowboarding.

It's a speed race (downhill or Super-G) and a slalom run by the same skier on the same day, and the finish times are combined.

Bode Miller was complaining on the NBC broadcast the combined downhill course was too slalom-ish for some political reasons I didn't entirely understand. There are still occasional 25 mph gusts, so even more of the jumps were taken out of the course.
