    Sexy Beast!

Had a quick meeting with the diabetic specialist. Weighed myself: 267 ... so I'm down 38 pounds but realistically a few more than that as I replenished with water after the gym and ate breakfast.

Goal for now is 260 before the next A1c test in about 10 days.

I have been skiing and drinking for three straight days. Back on the treadmill this morning at 8,000 feet altitude, which was interesting.

Had a scary moment on the mountain where both knees twisted on a wipeout, but I came away OK. Full speed ahead now on tower race and marathon training. This little vacation was like a black cloud hanging over that.

Day 33 of the 100. I took off a day after #30 because my elbow was barking.

Because I was lazy and skipped a couple of times, I had to do 96 situps today to account for 31, 32 and 33. I reckon I'll stay on track from now on.

I did the medical for a top professional football club yesterday for a story—the medical that the club would give an incoming player before finalizing a transfer. I failed the fitness test so hard, it was sobering. (One cardio test I couldn't even finish to get a score. So I scored zero.) I was running 20K pretty routinely not that long ago. Feeling really motivated to make some changes. I'm hoping they let me come back in a year to try again.

How tall are you? Those are some massive workouts for your weight, but you could be tall. (Which would also make sense regarding the fact that you can walk at 15 incline and 4.0-plus speed instead of trotting.)

I would recommend to keep challenging yourself a little bit more every few days. Not just with total time put in, but sneak the speed up a little bit.

I was back to my incline workout this morning. I've got about a month (March 11) before my four-skyscraper tower race that I do every year. Last year I finished 18th out of more than 1,000 participants. I had access to a skyscraper at work to train in, but I'm putting in more overall mileage now. We'll see how it goes. The next 3.5 weeks or so I'm going balls to the wall.

Actually, I think tomorrow I am going to start going in to do some actual stairs for the first half of my workout. We only have four stories, but I need to at least do some sprint-ups to get ready. The incline is helpful as far as it goes, but it's not stairs.

Back hurt yesterday so I did nothing and felt guilty.

In between potty breaks (not mine) today, I did 20 minutes straight of shadow-boxing (approximately 900 punches) then:

1 set of 50 stair steps (a lower, modified box jump)
    1 set of 25 push-ups
1 set of 50 stair steps
    1 set of 25 push-ups
1 set of 50 stair steps
    1 set of 25 push-ups
1 set of 50 stair steps
    1 set of 25 push-ups

100 more punches (because my OCD wouldn’t let me do 900 without doing 1,000)

    150 crunches
    50 leg lifts

I feel a lot better now.
