Yet somehow when they say "my pleasure" at Chick-fil-a I believe them.

When I worked at Six Flags in the 90s we called the park visitors "guests."
Guess it has spread to other hospitality type industries.

I don't mind it. I'm much more annoyed when I go to a business and am standing there for two minutes without being acknowledged. I don't go to Subway as much because I really hate standing in line behind seven people each one acting like ordering a sandwich is some new life-changing experience (but one that must be adapted to their particular needs and tastes).

The ads may be as corny as they come, but the product works. I was having neck pain that was just thisclose to debilitating, and it was worst at night when I moved my head in bed. Wife suggested I get one and try it out, and I really believe it helped the pain go away (along with a prescription for Flexeril).

Informative article. No wonder the lettuce is tasteless filler ... the veggies are shipped to stores only once a week! I'm sure their stockpiles of lunchmeat and cheese are of similar vintage.

One thing the article didn't address: how successful (or not) is the breakfast menu? In my region, I never see many people parked at Subway during breakfast hours ... maybe they should have stuck with lunch and dinner. I give Wendy's credit for not jumping onto the already overcrowded fast-food breakfast bandwagon.

I got breakfast at Subway a few times and it was ok, but nothing great. Do all stores participate? Is it worthwhile to open for them? The marketing seemed short-lived and I never think to go there when I'm in the mood for a breakfast sandwich, probably because it doesn't have a drive thru and the coffee is meh.

A big problem with their breakfast is that they typically don't have drivethru. It also bummed me out when they went to the one serving coffee makers which didn't allow for a refill or a top-off as you headed out the door like their sodas.

I have no idea if the Sonic breakfast is any good because our location doesn't open until 8 a.m., so there's virtually no commuter business.

Their breakfast burritos are awesome. Especially for dinner.
