The thing with him is he couldn’t beat out Andy Dalton. That screams limited upside. On the other hand, maybe the Bengals didn’t know what they had. We’ll see.

I don't think it was so much that he couldn't beat out Dalton as Dalton was the guy with the big contract and he didn't do anything, in their minds, to lose the job. I remember watching the playoff game against the Steelers and he had nice composure in the comeback that should have won it. He didn't try to do anything spectacular but he executed the plays well and sadly the Bengals went full Bengals on him.

But, really, can a testicle piercing ever go good?

Arizona is low enough where they're probably not going to get one of the expected top QBs. I figure McCarron makes sense for a team wanting a vet and a top draft pick QB to cover your bases. So Denver, maybe Cleveland. Arizona should probably go all in on Cousins or make a play for Foles.

So Baker Mayfield - is he getting talked about more because he's more of a question mark, or because he's actually legit? I've read and heard more about him than the other QBs combined. I figure because it is more of a "hot take" whether you think he's "good" or "bad."

Insofar as I watched, Mayfield seemed like a good prospect to me. He also apparently is something of an asshole. So he's take bait.

A couple of throws Mayfield made in the Georgia game, good and bad, were from the straight out of the style of Tony Romo. He's got a lot of talent but I don't know if he could handle being a top 10 pick. Seems like a kid that's better suited to battle for a job instead of being handed the reins as a franchise player.

I've always believed he could be a decent NFL QB. A Jay Fiedler-level QB at least, which in the modern NFL is super valuable.

Mayfield will not be successful in the NFL. Only a handful of NFL folks are so arrogant to think they can make him so. Luckily for Mayfield those few could potentially make him a first-round pick. After that, though, he will fail to be anyone’s savior — or even be anyone’s A.J. McCarron.
