I get it. The leash is shorter on threads that aren't ... this one.

I don't think gun owners are part of the problem, necessarily. Is it hypocrisy to own a gun and still want guns to be abolished? For me it's a decision between wearing rose-colored glasses and wanting to protect yourself and your family.

No confiscations required. If you already own a killing machine, you can keep it. You have to register it, but you can keep it. But no one who isn't military or police should be able to buy one legally again.

...and it's also a fancy way of saying "It's not about teh gunz! It's a mentul health issue!"

You say this like you mean the taxes and insurance would be in line with that of car ownership.

No one believes you. What you have in mind is the Chris Rock $5,000 bullet, and we know it. You've already told us so.

You can't tax a right to the degree that it would make it impossible for people to freely exercise that right.

Outside of bars and message boards, what "gun-confiscation" programs have ever been proposed in this country?

You have to go through a prison-like entry system to get into a high school now. What do you mean there's been nothing done to combat these kinds of school shootings?

Let's get rid of speed limits too. Everyone drives fast anyway.

How many AR-15s will be sold as that law is debated?

It's like saying we're going to start enforcing our border starting in 18 months.

Some of these things would have the opposite effect of what you intend.

    Laws don't work.

There were people claiming that Hillary Clinton must be embarrassed and rooting for her to leave Bill Clinton. Your premise isn't just flawed. It is a steaming pile of bullshit, as usual.
