    Nothing prevents the regulation of a right.

    Hell, even Scalia wondered out loud if the 2A only applied to firearms in use when it was written.

    Some regulations are prevented, though. Abortion regulations are struck down all the time.

    Once you give someone something, it’s incredibly difficult to take it back. As rights go, it should be difficult.

    We regulate full auto weapons and silencers pretty well (though there's a huge push to deregulate them).
